Public Inquiry Services

Being called to a Public Inquiry can be a very daunting and stressful experience so it is important that you take positive action as quickly as possible. As soon you receive a ‘Call-up Letter’ from your local OTC, the sooner the issues outlined can be addressed and the better the chances of a satisfactory outcome.

You can be called to Public Inquiry (known as a PI), for your existing Operator’s Licence or for the Traffic Commissioner to consider an application for a new licence we can be available to assist.

Whilst at Transolva Ltd. we do not represent you on the day of the PI, we can provide our services as a witness. However, we always recommend the use of professional legal representation in the form of a solicitor with specific transport PI experience.

We will, if required, be present during any solicitor visits and assist them in getting to the heart of your operation and work with you to determine where your compliance issue may lie; why it / they occurred and offer advice of what we can be done to correct these issues.

The sooner we can help you make changes to existing or put new policies, procedures and systems in place the better. Demonstrating you have taken action, not promises of action in the future, will go a long way at a PI’.

As soon as you received your ‘Call-up Letter’ to inform you have been called to PI please contact us for an off-the-record chat so we can suggest your next plan of action.

Should you decide to engage our services as a witness, you will know from the outset exactly what our fixed costs. We will also be able to suggest an experienced transport PI solicitor.

Please remember, the sooner you act and obtain experienced professional advise the better the chance we have of receiving a favourable outcome.
